Notice of Public Hearing on Small Cities
Development Program (SCDP)
Infrastructure Improvement Application
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
City Council of the City of Echo, will
hold a public hearing on Tuesday, February 24th at 7:00 pm at
the Echo Community Center located at
342 2nd Ave. W in Echo, MN to discuss a
SCDP grant application that will be submitted to
The Department of Employment and Economic
Development (DEED) for the City of
Echo. The public hearing is intended to
provide citizens to learn more about the
proposed project, including the costs
associated with the activities described
above as well as solicit input on community
development and housing needs in the
community that might be addressed through
the SCDP program. Pursuant to the
National Historic Preservation Act,
comments on the identification and
treatment of historic properties are welcome.
In addition, service area, timeline, and
potential funding sources and activities,
including USDA Rural Development and
Mn Department of Employment and
Economic Development’s Small Cities
Development Program in the project area
will be discussed. All persons who may
have an interest in the program are
encouraged to attend the public hearing.
Information and records regarding the
application will be available within City
Hall during regular office hours.
